Steel Guard Safety's SCC-12 and SCC-13 reinforced mass loaded vinyl (MLV) soundproof curtains are engineered to block and absorb industrial-strength noise in factories, manufacturing plants, and commercial facilities. Unlike standard sound curtains, the SCC-12 and SCC-13 feature a reinforced MLV barrier layer bonded with quilted fiberglass batting on the front face — delivering both sound blocking and absorption in a single curtain panel.
What Makes MLV Curtains Different
Mass loaded vinyl is one of the most effective sound blocking materials available for flexible curtain applications. The reinforced MLV layer in the SCC-12 (1 lb/sq ft) and SCC-13 (2 lb/sq ft) adds significant sound transmission loss compared to standard absorptive curtains alone. These industrial soundproof curtains are ideal for enclosures, separator walls, and machine barriers where both blocking and absorption are required.
SCC-12 & SCC-13 Features
- Reinforced 1 lb/sq ft (SCC-12) or 2 lb/sq ft (SCC-13) mass loaded vinyl barrier layer
- 1" or 2" quilted fiberglass batting on front face for sound absorption
- #4 grommets along top hem for easy hanging
- Mating Velcro on vertical edges for modular panel connections and sound seal
- Compatible with curtain track hardware for moveable barrier systems
- ASTM E-84 Class 1 fire rated for indoor industrial use
- Available in 4 ft-6 in widths with 8, 9, and 10 ft heights
