- 13 oz vinyl: Lightweight and economical. A good fit for dust control and general area separation.
- 18 oz vinyl: Heavier and more durable. The better choice for busy shops where the curtain opens and closes every day.
- 20 mil clear vinyl: See-through panels that keep sightlines open and let light pass between areas, so supervisors can see across the shop.
All vinyl curtain materials are fire retardant and meet NFPA 701.
How to Size Your Shop Curtain
Measure the width of the area you want to cover along the track line, then measure the height from the track to the floor. Enter both numbers in the calculator. Every curtain is built with 3% plus 2 inches of fullness so it hangs with slight slack instead of pulling tight or leaving gaps at the ends.

18 oz vinyl is the most common pick for busy shops because it holds up to daily opening and closing. 13 oz vinyl works for lighter dust control at a lower cost. Choose 20 mil clear vinyl when you need to see across the shop or let light through.
Can shop curtains be used around welding?
Standard shop curtains are not welding screens and don't block arc flash. For welding areas, use curtains rated for welding protection.
