Each kit includes pre-cut and pre-punched clear PVC strips sized to your opening, plus universal galvanized mounting hardware. The hardware mounts on the door face (add 3"–5" to width), in the jamb of the doorway, or can be suspended with threaded rod. Everything needed for installation is included.
What width and gauge strip should I order?
Strip width and gauge are determined by your door height. For doors 6'–9' tall, use 8" wide strips at .080 gauge. For doors 9'–12' tall, use 12" wide strips at .120 gauge. For doors 13' and taller, use 16" wide strips at .160 gauge. Call us for custom sizes not listed.
How do I measure for surface mounting vs. under-door mounting?
The H x W size shown in our listings is for under-door mounting. If you are surface mounting on a wall, order a strip door that is 1 foot wider and 1 foot higher than your door opening. Strips can be cut to fit on the bottom after installation.
Are these strip doors flame retardant?
Yes. All Steel Guard Safety vinyl strip door kits are CFM (California Fire Marshal) certified flame retardant. They also meet fire resistance standards for commercial and industrial use.
Are the strips PCB-free?
Yes. All strips are confirmed PCB-free — no polychlorinated biphenyls or other harmful chemical compounds are present in the material.
What temperature range can these strips handle?
Standard PVC strip curtains handle temperatures from -10°F to 150°F. UV stabilizers are built in to reduce yellowing over time. For walk-in freezer and cooler applications requiring lower temperature performance, see our Freezer Strip Curtains rated to -20°F.
Can I get a custom size?
Yes. Call us for custom sizes not listed in the standard variants. We can cut and punch strips to any dimension required for your specific opening.
